What is the Self-Determination Program?
Guided by five principles, the Self-Determination Program (SDP) is an alternative service delivery method that provides regional center clients with autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disabilities with more control and flexibility over the services and supports needed to live an inclusive and fulfilling life. Enrollment into the program is voluntary and provides participants with an individual budget, which they then use to purchase the services and supports they need to implement their Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and Individual Program Plan (IPP).
